Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the fourth installment in Call of Duty series and the first in the Modern Warfare franchise. It breaks out from the World War 2 to Play Online Games No Download setting which was popularized in the previous games and takes place in modern times.
The storyline takes place in 2011, a radical leader of a terrorist group has executed the president of an unknown country and a nationalist movement sparks a civil war in Russia. The game is seen through the eyes of a U.S Force Reconnaissance Marine and a British SAS commando. It is set in various locations such as Russia, Ukraine, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. This November, a remastered version of the game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox one and PC.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Gameplay
The game features modern equipment and new multiplayer features like the “killstreak”, which occurs when the player kills a number of enemies without dying in between kills. This gives the player access to multiple assets like helicopter support and airstrikes.
To take cover from enemy assault, you move constantly and hide behind walls or any other means of cover. Asides avoiding hostile fire, you can recover lost energy while taking cover.
During single play campaign, the player takes on various character roles. Each character is involved in the games plot at various points, so the players perspective changes in between missions.
Some objectives will require reaching a given checkpoint safely, while some will require the player to eliminate enemies at a given location, stand your ground for a given time as you protect an objective, or plant explosives in enemy territory.
There are two multiplayer options. The first being a team mission, while the other is a one-on-one deathmatch. A game ends when a player or team reaches a decided number of points, or the given time elapses; the team or player with the higher point wins. In a case that points are even when the time elapses, Sudden Death mode is activated, where the team or player with the last man standing, or who achieves the objective first wins the game.
